The maiden Annual Day of the institution encaptured the essence of living in sync with nature and made the venue resound with the ‘Voice of Jungle’ to showcase the expectations of the animal world. The event was a window to the animal realm and how they suffer when man destroys the Jungle, which is their home, for his personal greed and requirements. It also emphasized the need to conserve and preserve the flora and fauna for future generations. It propagated the idea to ‘Shoot with a camera’ so that every species of animals and birds can be saved from being endangered or becoming extinct. The event transmitted the idea of ‘Global Oneness’ and appealed for ‘World Peace’.

The programme was an amazing amalgamation of pulsating music, lively dance and sensational drama and showcased the talent of the students as nurtured and redefined by the institution during their formative years. It also was an occasion to recognize the achievers, right from Kindergarten to Grade 5, in various spheres. The programme began by invoking God’s blessings with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and Ganesh Vandana. This was followed by a scintillating Patriotic medley by the school orchestra.  The entire ceremony revolved around the theme ‘ Voice of Jungle ‘ which was brewed with the help of an enchanting skit that had, children dressed up as animals like lion, bear, monkey, parrot etc. The event progressed as the animals lead by the little lion decides to voice their needs and concerns in the Nation’s Parliament before the Prime Minister himself.  The theme strongly conveyed that a concerted and united effort should be made to spread happiness and create a world that knows oneness, peace and brotherhood. As the theme advanced the little toddlers from Kindergarten wing rocked the stage with their captivating dance performances on foot tapping songs. They twirled and waltzed to ‘Itni si Hansi’, ‘Dil hai chota sa’, ‘Bum bum bole’ and ‘Mere Papa’. The students from Primary wing set the stage alive with their performance on ‘Badhte Chalo’, ‘Hil ke nacho’, ‘Dilli ki safari’, ‘Dhadak dhadak’ and ‘Aayo re’. The splendid show ended with the ‘Grand Finale’ where the students of entire school danced to show their belief in ‘Love’ and expressed their determination to create a world that knows no boundaries and where love and peace prevail in every heart. The esteemed guests appreciated the efforts put in by the tiny tots and motivated them to work hard with sincerity, faith, dedication and perseverance to fulfil the dreams.

                                                    EID-E-MILAD CELEBRATION

‘The greatness of a culture can be found in its festivals.’

Celebrating multifarious cultures and festivals symbolizes the unity of an international community, which our school takes pride in. We at DPS has always believed in celebrating all major festivals as it helps children understand the cultural diversity in India and teaches them to be open-minded and secular towards every religion and community. These merriments tickle the child’s brain and trigger them to think and question about the reason we celebrate various occasions.  To in still in a sense of secularism amongst the students, DPS celebrated Eid-E-Milad on 1st December in school premises where in students were informed not only about the reason of celebrating this occasion but also about Islam religion and its belief system through a video ‘Five Pillars of Islam’ accentuating the fact that all religions perpetuate similar tenets. This celebration spread the message of brotherhood, peace and prosperity among the students.
