Blue is symbolised as the coolest color, for it represents both the sky and the sea! As a part of the celebration of colors, the blue color day was celebrated virtually at DPS, Dwarka Expressway on July 28, 2021, for Pre-Nursery. Our little learners looked fantastic, dressed up in blue attire. The energy and vibrance were visible as the learners indulged themselves in whale-making activity with paper plates which were followed by humming the rhyme. It was a fun-filled day for the children which they enjoyed to the hilt.

“Education is the most powerful tool you can use to change the world “- Nelson Mandela

18th July has been declared Nelson Mandela International Day. Nelson Mandela was a politician and activist. He was well known for Anti –Apartheild Movement and dedicated his life to fighting for equality .He demonstrated remarkable leadership qualities and ultimately helped topple South Africa‘s racist system of apartheild. “Long Walk to Freedom”-is an extract from the autobiography of Nelson Mandela that describes the struggle for freedom of black people in South Africa. Students of grade 1 and 2 were told about the life history of Dr. Nelson Mandela and his teachings through a module prepared by the teachers. Children enjoyed watching the module and at the same time learnt a few unknown facts about him. Making everyday a Mandela Day allows us the chance to be active agents of change in our communities.

Poetry is a rhythmical creation of beauty in words & its recitation; an expression of thoughts... A Hindi Rhyme Activity was organized on 13th July 21 at DPS Dwarka Expressway Sec 102 for our pre-primary tiny tots where they enjoyed the beauty of expression, thoughts, feeling, rhyme, rhythm and music of words.  Taking all these facts into consideration the children got an opportunity to exhibit their talent and confidence during the online session. The activity inspired the children to come forward and recite Hindi rhyme infront of everyone. The young poets enthralled the audience with their articulation and memory skills while reciting poems. It was a splendid opportunity for them to gain confidence. The children came up with different poems on various topics. The showcase of the activity was the confidence, voice modulation, the props used and the overall presentation.

The celebration was an ideal opportunity to instil the value of social responsibility in the students towards safeguarding trees and forests . During their online lessons, the students of Grade 2 planted a sapling whereas students of grade 1 spoke a few lines on the importance of planting trees and saving Mother EARTH from global warming. “Earth provides enough to satisfy every man’s need, but not greed.”

Only a doctor is blessed with the magical powers to treat a life, to bring health into our lives, and be there with us when we need them the most! Doctors day is celebrated every year on 1st July as a token of respect and gratitude towards all the doctors for what they do for us. We celebrated this day virtually at DPS, Dwarka Expressway. The session started with a talk on doctors, followed by activities like spin the wheel, role play, and card making. It was a day filled with speculation as the doctors paid a visit to the classes and addressed our Dipsites virtually. We were overwhelmed with their presence and thank them for the same
