Christmas celebrations for the Pre-Primary graders of DPS Dwarka Expressway
Christmas
is
celebrated
all over the world. The traditions are different from country to country, but they always include a feast, giving gifts or cards, and enjoying church or public festivities such as singing
Christmas
carols and songs. Santa Claus is a tradition in many countries of the world. With
Christmas
festivities still on, our little tiny tots with great enthusiasm got involved in a plethora of
Christmas
craft making activities wherein they decorated Santa's Face, Reindeer’s face, bells, Snowflakes, etc. To continue with
Christmas
spirit students came dressed up in red and green attire. Along with their teachers and friends, our little Dipsites decorated the school with
Christmas
tree, stars, snowflakes, etc. Later watched a beautiful video on
Christmas
.

Church Visit- Pre primary Dipsites
On the occasion of Christmas, a
visit
to
church
was planned for the children on 20th December. On this day, they were taken to the
church
and were told about ‘Jesus Christ’. It was a new experience for the children as they were fascinated by the story of ‘Jesus Christ’ and were very excited to know that Santa would come and give gifts for Christmas.

White Colour Day- Pre Primary
We all are aware that the colour
White
is associated with light, perfection, goodness, innocence, purity, and cleanliness. Pre-Primary wing of DPS celebrated
White
Colour
Day
on 13th December 2019. The students came to school decked up in
white
attire and brought
white
colour objects from home. To enhance their oratory skills the students were asked to speak a few sentences about the
white
colour object.

Anti bullying- Grade VIII
Katherine Jenkins rightly said that “Children should be able to live a life free from bullying and harassment and it is time that we all took a stand against this” Dipsites of Grade VIII have taken the issue seriously and presented their thoughts through expressions of speech and even an emotional dance performance. It gives us immense pleasure to see our students be so compassionate towards all.

Pre Primary- Hindi Rhyme Competition
Pre-Primary wing of DPS Dwarka Expressway organized a
Hindi
Rhyme
Recitation Competition on 6th December 2019. Recitation is a mode of expression, a medium to reflect the latent talents of the young ones. This helps the students to expand their experience and exposure to poetry. The students chose a variety of their favourite topics for recitation and spoke with great zeal and enthusiasm. We in DPS believe in experiential learning and this competition helped the students in boosting their self-confidence and enhancing their oratory skills and self-expression.

Indian Armed Forces Flag Day- Celebration
"The red and white and starry blue is freedom’s shield and hope.” The Armed Forces Flag Day is celebrated on 7th December every year. Our flag means all that our fathers involved in the Revolutionary War. It means all that the Declaration of Independence said. It means justice, liberty and happiness. Every colour means freedom and every thread implies freedom. Every star and stripe mean freedom. As the future generation of this nation, it is imperative for our students to know all about our Armed Forces. The assembly took a turn when some young Dipsites narrated poems that shook us and also brought tears to some. As citizens of the nation, we pay utmost respect to each of our soldiers who strive each day for our well-being. We can never thank them enough!

Car Dustbin Making Activity
We, at DPS Dwarka Expressway, believe in keeping our city clean and green. To support the same, we earlier took an initiative to plant sapling for which one sapling was given to each of the Dipsite at school. They are still taking care of it and this has encouraged them to do more for the city. We are still on our motto! Our students of Grade I-III made their own car dustbins at school. We cannot imagine the joy their parents will feel when their children present a car dustbin to them for their daily use. Each of such initiatives taken by our students has always brought a smile to our faces and this is what motivates us!! Clean India Green India!

Inter school Dance Competition - Final Round
The final round of Intra School Dance competition was even more exciting than its Round I. All the participants came up with their best foot forward. We have to agree that our judges on the panel found it difficult to choose the best from all the breathtaking performances. Our judges also introduced two new awards - Super Confident Performance and Best Costume to reward our participants from two groups that included Grade IV and V together and Grade VI-VIII together. We look forward to many more such competitions to boost the morale of our students and enlighten the true spirit of competition in them.
