“Our goal is not just an environment of clean air and water and scenic beauty. The objective is an environment of decency, quality and mutual respect for all other human beings and all other living creatures."-- Gaylord Nelson
Although the situation is dire but no problem ever takes birth without a solution. With this thought up our sleeves, we headed towards educating our young learners about this eventful day.
At DPS, Dwarka Expressway, students of grade I and II celebrated this important day on April 22, 2022 filled with utmost zeal as we encouraged them to be responsible towards our only living planet-better known as Mother Earth! The tiny hands were put to work towards it by coloring posters on Earth Day as it inculcated awareness towards the deteriorating condition of our unique planet. Our little citizens were also enriched by the concepts of biodegradable and non-biodegradable waste through activities. Solutions like 3R’s (recycle, reuse and reduce), energy conservation at home, reduce greenhouse gas emission, say ‘NO’ to plastic and reforestation were also discussed.
Our planet is an amazing place, but it needs our help to thrive! Keeping that in mind the students also took a pledge to save the Mother Earth.
