Freehand drawing is the ability to draw something without depending on instruments or something else to draw. We guide the drawing process with only our hand, and it depends on our observational skills. Instead of tracing the likeness of a cat, or using instruments to do it for us, we draw it by hand.

Morning circle is a therapeutic setting because they introduce children to the basics of life: human connections, a sense of belonging, and inner peace.

Slides and swings stimulates different parts of a child's brain simultaneously. Swinging helps the brain develop skills such as spatial awareness, balance, rhythm, and muscle control. Even a quiet moment on a swing can help a child regulate their sensory system and help them develop the ability to adapt to different sensations.

Sandpit activity is a type of play that  engage children in while using sand as an artistic medium. With sandpit play, children can do things like dig, scoop, pour, or push sand as well as lift, rake, pat, or shape it, creating with sand become endless.

Students learned the nutritious value of lemon and prepared tasty and cool lemonade.

Indoor Play encourages creativity and critical thinking. They can build their strength through physical activity. It helps to build coordination and balance they can build their communication skills by interacting with their peer group

Take play seriously. Young children are learning all the time. When they play, they're building important life skills. Make-believe play allows them to experience what it's like to be someone else and understand others' feelings.

The students of DPS Dwarka Expressway embraced the spirit of Dussehra. Students dazzled in a special assembly, featuring a captivating musical skit and lively Garba performance. Nursery students curated a delightful Dussehra mela, filled with games and fun for Pre-Primary students. The Kindergarten students crafted a Ravana effigy and reveled in the joyous atmosphere of Garba dances. The morning assembly, orchestrated by Grade V-E, showcased diverse cultural performances and introduced the NGO, Ram Kala Sadan, championing unity in diversity. From the epic 'Ramayana' to spirited Dandia and Garba dances, students exhibited their talent, while members of Ram Kala Sadan demonstrated the transformative power of art. Principal Ms. Prabhleen Kaur emphasized cultural inclusivity and the importance of appreciating our rich tapestry of traditions.

The "Trash to Treasure" competition is an exciting opportunity for our young, creative minds of Grade –II to showcase their imagination and innovation which was held on October,18’2023.This competition encourages students to take everyday items that are usually thrown away as trash and turn them into beautiful, useful, and unique treasures. The competition is to provide individuals with a platform to display and celebrate their unique skills and talents. This type of competition serves several important objectives: Creativity, Problem – solving, Resourcefulness, Sustainability, Fine motor skills, Presentation skills, and Aesthetic sense.
For grade –II it was a fantastic opportunity for our young learners to combine creativity with environmental consciousness. It's a chance for them to discover the magic of turning ordinary trash into extraordinary treasures. We were mesmerized by seeing the amazing projects our young talents created!

A culminating event in the classroom aims to showcase what students learned and if they can apply their new knowledge or a newly learned skill. Over the last couple of weeks, the students of grade Nursery & II have been exploring their surroundings, near and far, and building up skills which culminated in a presentation of their learning.
To assimilate the essence of the theme and revisit the concepts covered under the Theme- My Surroundings, Culmination was conducted by the students of Grade Nursery & II of DPS DWARKA EXPRESSWAY, 102. It was a celebration of knowledge where Nursery students showcased themes “all about me” and “animals”.They ignited their curiosity about the natural world and fostered a love for our furry, feathered, and scaly friends. The 'Animals and All About Me' theme culmination in the nursery was a celebration of discovery, self-expression, and the wonders of the natural world. Through this enriching experience, the young students not only celebrated their individuality but also gained a deeper appreciation for the diverse and fascinating world of animals. Grade II students depicted how different festivals are celebrated in different parts of our country ‘India’.
They also showcased the surge of confidence and mastery imbibed through the months. Each child was a part of the Theme Culmination and was true to our belief ‘no child was left behind’. The enthusiasm and excitement in learners to showcase their learning to their parents was just amazing.
